Addis in Cape owned and skippered by Alexandre Monat was built in France by Archambault in 2007.
In 2008, she arrived in Cape Town from Lorient, France after 3 stop-over and 54 days at the sea. Lisbon (Portugal) to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canaries Islands, Spain) and to Salvador Baia (Brazil). She has been a modest contender in the IRC scene in Table Bay. Nevertheless with a core team finally fixed, in 2009, the goal is to participate in all IRC races run out of the RCYC.
Addis in Cape 's latest successes include a 1st in the 2008 John Cool Sprint race during Admiral's regatta, a 2nd on handicap in the 2008 Vasco da Gama race and 3rd in the Double Handed race in February 2009.
